Submission to competition- The prize will be the return of Course Fee.

Photography Studio -Weddings, Portraits, Social Events, FBI Trained Crimes Scene Investigation photography, Surveillance and Evidence photography, Aerial Photography and now Landscapes and Water Color. Member of Professional Photographers of America, Certified Law Enforcement New York State General Topics Instructor including Crime Scene Awareness and photographic investigation including “one on one” study of fingerprint, fibers and foot ware impressions. Ran Crime Photo Lab for the City of Poughkeepsie Police Department and Peeksill Police Department. Commendations received for photography in Homicides and Fingerprint Evidence photography in Major Cases.
Included in course: Course outline on paper, a Step by Step explanation of each course topic. Hands on explanation and reinforcement to make you comfortable with your camera. This is called a Course and Workshop as it is designed for beginners but will also include experienced photographers leading them to advanced techniques. Especially involving image enhancement software. This workshop will provide you money saving ways which are true and tested.
The biggest example is free software that will do the work of photo-shop. The Work Shop allows experienced photographers to provide input
Method of instruction is interactive! We learn better and it’s easier.
If everyone agrees we will do location shoots during the course which may extend hours. It is recommended but not mandatory to have and bring a tri-pod.
Coming after the Course - Bus and guided photography Tours of Manhattan
Photographic Study of the Brooklyn Bridge and South Street Sea Port Wall Street. A Day in Central Park and a Third Tour of Times Square, Columbus Circle and Rockefeller Center. Price of trips will be announced. You must be fit and able to stand on your feet for long periods and walk about 2 miles.
There will be refreshment breaks.

1. How Technically Correct is the Photo? (20)
Are the following the best they can be? Focus, Sharpness, detail, depth of field, color, brightness, contrast, saturation, usage of light.
2. Subject Matter / Content (20)
How well does it fall within the brief/assignment?
Creativity.
3. Composition (20)
Does the photograph tell a story?
Where is our eye lead to in the photograph?
Is the photograph balanced, if not, is it creating the visual impact it should?
4. Do I like this photograph? (All Else Aside) (40)
Like all art this is dependent on our own tastes, likes, dislikes and the way we see the world and experience it. It has nothing to do with how experienced photographer is. (Unfortunately)
